A New Day Dawning

A few months ago, when our baby Benji was still almost in my imagination, my heart struggled to believe. It struggled in my brokenness to feel God’s love, to see His faithfulness, and to have hope that things would be different than before.

Then I came upon this scripture in Song of Songs 2:11-13. I already had been moving forward, fighting to believe, fighting to embrace the Father in the midst of all my questions. This verse was apart of a pivotal moment of God speaking to me. A “before” and then “after” happened. I was launched forward to embrace hope and destiny. I pray you are impacted by it as well:

“The season has changed, the bondage of your BARREN winter has ended, the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers.

The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth.

Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purpose and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of NEW LIFE are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers “there is change in the air, arise my love, by beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place.

For NOW is the time to arise and come away with me.”

Song of Songs 2:11-13 PASSION Translation

His love is constantly pursuing us and bringing us to hope even when we don’t have the strength within ourselves to hope. He is our hope, He is our joy, He is love. When we can feel nothing but brokenness He stands beside us and gently surrounds us with His presence, even if we can’t feel it. Then a moment comes when the fog lifts. A moment comes where we see He was with us all along. Our hearts are overwhelmed by His faithfulness to us in the midst of the darkness.

If if you are in a moment of darkness, a season of questions, don’t give up. Even if you don’t have strength within yourself, know He is there and that He isn’t giving up, even when you feel like you are. Your “day” is coming.

“Though sorrow may last for the night, HIS JOY comes in the morning” Psalms 30:5.
